The Burlingame Planning Commission is scheduled to review plans for a six-unit apartment infill at 1213 Capuchino Avenue by Broadway in Burlingame, San Mateo County. The four-story proposal would replace a single-unit residence by the retail-rich street.

The 45-foot-tall structure will yield around 18,180 square feet with 8,340 square feet for housing, 9,330 square feet for the 2.5-story basement garage, and 509 square feet for a social room. Parking capacity will be included for 11 cars, with no information about bicycle storage.
Antonio M. Brandi, a South San Francisco-based individual, is listed as the project architect and applicant. The building design is a lackluster example of ranch style clad with wood siding, cement plaster, and roof tiling. Some arched windows will be included along the front-elevation stairwell, with square red tiles wrapped around the ground level.

The 0.14-acre property is located between Broadway and Lincoln Avenue, across from two grocery stores and a block away from the city’s El Camino Real transit thoroughfare. Future residents will be near the ECR Samtrans bus line and ten minutes from the Millbrae BART and Caltrain Train Station via Bicycle.
Plans for 1213 Capuchino Avenue will be reviewed by the Burlingame Planning Commission tomorrow, February 27th, starting at 7 PM as part of a Design Review Study item. For more information about how to attend and participate, see the meeting agenda here.
