Permits have been filed for a new residential infill at 220 Geneva Avenue in Oceanview, San Francisco. The plans will replace an existing single-story house with a three-story duplex. J&S Consultant Inc. is responsible for the application and design on behalf of the property owner, Yanpei Chen.

The structure is expected to rise 28 feet and yield around 2,560 square feet, keeping it roughly the same scale as the other homes on the block. Parking will be included for one car. Once complete, the development will feature a four-bedroom residence occupying the upper two levels and a one-bedroom Accessory Dwelling Unit occupying a portion of the ground floor.
Jin Qing Li is listed as the project engineer. Renderings shared alongside the planset show a contemporary residential structure imbued with typical vernacular elements, including the stucco exterior and a boxy bay window overlooking Geneva Avenue. The rear facade will include two two-story bay windows overlooking a small usable open backyard.

The property is located along Geneva Avenue, directly across from the Lick Wilmerding High School campus, and a block away from the sunken I-280 Freeway. The Balboa Park BART Station is just two blocks away.
The estimated cost and timeline for construction have yet to be established.
