Emeryville Planning Commission has scheduled a project study session for new construction at 6200 Shellmound Street, Emeryville. The project proposal includes the development of a new building for commercial, residential, and office use which will be a part of Emeryville Public Market.
Emeryville Holdings LLC is the project applicant. TCA Architects and Hart Howerton are managing the design concept and construction.
The new Final Development Plan (FDP) for The Marketplace Redevelopment Project includes rentable retail, office/lab, and residential spaces. The Planning Commission is holding the study session to replace and rescind a previously approved FDP and review the new FDP.
The property site is a lot spanning an area of 87,912 square feet with development planned for different sub-parcels. The new FDP proposes office and life science space spanning an area of 415,000 square feet. It also includes 6,000 square feet of retail space on parcels A & B. The property will include an on-site parking space with a capacity of 840 vehicles. 18 affordable housing units on an adjacent parcel F will also be designed.
The facade is expressed in structural concrete and three shades of stone and glass curtain walls with metal and glass windows.
The meeting will be held on May 27 at 6:30 PM, details of which can be found here.
