The entitlement process for a new development at 2300 Broadway, Redwood City, San Mateo County has been initiated. The project proposal includes the construction of a ten-story commercial building.
Tishman Speyer is the developer and the project applicant. WRNS Studio is managing the design concepts and construction.
The property site is a 40,000 square-foot parcel that currently serves as a parking spot. Also known as the Chase Bank Property, the project will bring a ten-story building with office space consisting of 213,000 square feet on level 2 through level 9. Retail space spanning an area of 12,000 square feet is proposed at the ground floor level. The top floor will offer space for events and gatherings along with an additional terrace featuring an abutting mechanical room. The project brings 20,000 square feet of public green space. About 5,000 square feet on the corner of Broadway and Hamilton Street would make up what developers are calling Redwood Grove. Developers also propose extending the grove into a 15,000-square-foot pedestrian-only plaza called Hamilton Green.

Additionally, affordable housing and a courthouse square will be developed as a part of the project. 80 residential units owned and operated by MidPen Housing will be constructed.
The building facade will rise to a height of 112 feet. The estimated date of project completion has not been announced yet.
The property site is located at the intersection of Broadway and Hamilton Street, across the street from the Fox Theatre and the historic county courthouse, and just a block from Caltrain.
