Grand Opening For Legacy Court Apartments, Richmond

Public officials and the project team gathered earlier this month to celebrate the grand opening of Legacy Court, a new affordable housing development at 1243 Fred Jackson Way in Richmond, Contra Costa County. Legacy Court Apartments has added 43 units, along with associated amenities and residential services, in the North Richmond neighborhood. Community Housing Development Corporation of North Richmond and Eden Housing are jointly responsible for the project.

Demolition Permits Filed for Future Development Site at 1708 Harmon Street in Berkeley

The Community Housing Development Corporation filed permits yesterday to begin the demolition and initial site preparations for a planned development at 1708 Harmon Street in Berkeley. The South Berkeley location is currently occupied by a single-story structure and surface level parking lot for the neighboring church. The proposal will remove the buildings and parking lot, replacing them with two five-story residential structures, joined at their corners.

Zoning Worksheet Filed for Senior Housing Project in Eastmont Neighborhood of Oakland

The property at 7954 MacArther Boulevard has filed a zoning worksheet with the city of Oakland. The project, entitled The Kingdom Builder Senior Housing Development, is 6-story, 50-unit affordable senior housing development in East Oakland. The project, brought by Community Housing Development Corporation, was first reported on by SF YIMBY in 2022, but has undergone a handful of design changes and iterations since then.
