The San Mateo City Council has approved plans for an eight-story apartment complex at 668 East Third Avenue, just two blocks from the Caltrain tracks and Downtown San Mateo. The project will replace a single-story strip mall along South Delaware Street with over a hundred units, including twenty affordable apartments. Prometheus Real Estate Group is the project developer.
The San Mateo Planning Commission is scheduled to consider approving a new office project at 57 South B Street in the city’s downtown. The project will bring new office space, shops, and a pocket plaza along a restaurant-lined street and close to the San Mateo Caltrain Station. Harvest Properties is the project sponsor.

The development includes 355 rental apartments and ground-floor retail nearby the city train station and the Santa Clara University Campus. Construction has topped out with significant facade installation progress made for the six-story mixed-use development at 575 Benton Street in Santa Clara, just over a block away from the Santa Clara University campus.
