Developers submitted a Preliminary Project Assessment application for renovation of the existing building at 2107 Van Ness Avenue in Pacific Heights, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the renovation of the five-story building to construct thirty-two residential units. The scope of the renovation will include major upgrades to the mechanical and plumbing systems, updated egress, and exterior improvements.

Coming in as the fiftieth tallest tower in the Bay Area built or planned is Jasper, a prominent building along the San Francisco skyline perched on Rincon Hill. The 430-foot tower at 45 Lansing Street, SoMa, was completed in 2016 by Miami-based Crescent Heights and then purchased in the summer of 2019 by Northwestern Mutual for $306 million. The development was made possible by San Francisco’s 2005 Rincon Hill Plan, a neighborhood-focused zoning program that helped pave the way for many of the towers on our list to offer housing in the Central Business District.

The proposal will include demolition of a single-family residential building at 228 Clara Street, and building on top a vacant lot at 224 Clara Street to produce a five-story apartment building with nine units. 340 11th Street Nears Completion in SoMa, San Francisco

Construction is progressing for a new small-scale office infill at 340 11th Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The project will bring 24,990 additional square feet to an area known to attract tech start-ups. The four-story building rises 55 feet tall, providing extra ceiling space. Along with 14,775 square feet of office space, 4,350 square feet will be opened as ground-floor retail.
