Groundbreaking for Affordable Housing in North Berkeley

Construction has officially started on 39 affordable homes with a groundbreaking ceremony at 1367 University Avenue in North Berkeley, Alameda County. The project will create housing for formerly homeless individuals, giving access to amenities, on-site services, and close access to the North Berkeley BART Station. San Francisco-based Panoramic Interests is the developer while Building Opportunities for Self Sufficiency will manage the property and leasing.

Meeting Thursday for 2480 Bancroft Way, Berkeley

The Berkeley Design Review Committee is scheduled to review plans for the eight-story residential infill at 2480 Bancroft Way in Southside, Berkeley. The project, named ‘The Edge,’ will create 28 large apartments directly across from the UC Berkeley campus, designed to meet the city’s high demand for student living. Ruegg & Ellsworth is responsible for the project as the building owner.
