Plans for the fully entitled apartment proposal at 60-70 South Almaden Avenue are available for sale in Downtown San Jose, Santa Clara County. The proposal, known as the Greyhound site, was approved to create 708 units across 1.2 million square feet. Z&L Properties has owned the property since 2016. Last year, one of the real estate firm’s top principals was arrested regarding alleged bribery in San Francisco.
A new office and R&D project has been proposed for development at 888 Bransten Road in San Carlos. The project proposal includes the construction of a new three-story building offering spaces for R&D and office use. The project calls for the demolition of the three multi-tenant light industrial buildings on the site.
A new office project has been approved for construction at 777 Airport Boulevard in Burlingame, San Mateo County. The project proposal includes the development of a 13 story office tower. Demolition will be required for the existing five-story Red Roof PLUS hotel and the attached Leann’s cafe. San Francisco-based real estate firm Lincoln Property Company is the project developer. The project is designed by Gensler. Petersen Studio is the landscape architect.
The Draft Environmental Impact Report has been published for the 87-unit townhouse development at 808 Alameda de las Pulgas in San Carlos, San Mateo County. The plans will bring new housing to the former hillside location of the Black Mountain Spring Water Company’s bottling facility. Veev Group is the project developer.
The preliminary project application will be reviewed today with the San Bruno City Council. The 44-acre masterplan led by Alexandria Real Estate Equities will reshape the existing BART-connected mall with new retail, homes, and a life science campus. The plans have been able to move ahead since Alexandria purchased the final necessary parcel of land in February of this year. The total cost for the 44-acre San Mateo County campus was just under $330 million.
