A new rendering has been published ahead of tomorrow’s meeting with Oakland’s Design Review Committee for Brooklyn Basin, a waterfront master-planned development. The request would expand the development’s residential capacity to hold 3,700 apartments, with over a hundred more boat slips. Oakland-based Signature Development Group is developing the project, with joint financing from Signature, Zarsion Holdings Group, and Reynolds & Brown.

New permits have been filed for a five-story affordable housing project at 3001 El Camino Real in Ventura, Palo Alto. The development will replace a single-story commercial structure and surface parking along the Peninsula’s commercial artery, close to the California Avenue Caltrain station, with 129 new homes. Charities Housing is the project owner, operating through El Camino PA LP.

New Imagery for Hines’ Atlas Block Campus and $105M Refurbishment of 77 Beale Street

Building permits have been filed for the estimated $105 million reskinning and renovation of 77 Beale Street, to be renamed 200 Mission Street, in Hines’ headline-grabbing plan for the Atlas Block Campus in SoMa, San Francisco. Along with building permits, planning documents reveal new imagery and programming details for the mixed-use project. The Atlas Block includes the dynamic Foster + Partners-designed facade for 50 Main Street, the potential second tallest building for the Bay Area.
