The Planning Commission has issued new building permits for 389 Ninth Avenue in Oakland’s waterfront development, Brooklyn Basin. The six-story building, also called Parcel A2, or Foon Lok East, will contribute 124 affordable housing units to the 3,700-unit masterplan. MidPen Housing Corporation is the building developer, with Signature Development Group responsible for the master plan.

A new update has been released for the eight-story residential development planned at 2600 Telegraph Avenue in Northgate-Waverly, Oakland. Real estate company Grosvenor has acquired the development. Furthering its investment in the East Bay, Grosvenor will add 225 rental residences, including affordable housing near public transit. The proposal will replace surface parking and a low-rise commercial structure with 225 residential units and ground-floor retail. BAR Architects is responsible for the design.

South City To Consider Expanded Plans for Gateway of Pacific Phase Four

The South San Francisco planning commission will review expanded plans for Gateway of Pacific phase four tonight. The three-structure phase, to be addressed as 900 Gateway Boulevard, will be the penultimate portion of a development that has already had a significant contribution to the South City East Side skyline in the north of San Mateo County. The developer, BioMed Realty, has proposed to increase the North Building from five to nine stories tall.
