Six apartment building sites are in stages of development, varying from foundational work starting to residents already moved in. Oakland-based Signature Development Group is developing the project, with joint financing from Signature, Zarsion Holdings Group, and Reynolds & Brown.
Building permits have been issued for an eight-story residential building at 37 8th Avenue in the waterfront Brooklyn Basin development near Downtown Oakland. This comes after an April site visit spotted a newly-built platform rising over the waterfront for 37 8th Avenue, also known as Parcel J. Cityview is the project developer after purchasing the piece from masterplan developer Signature Development Group.

Anton DevCo is poised to receive approval for Parcel D’s Final Development Permit along the Oakland waterfront. The proposed residential building will rise at One Ninth Avenue. Parcel D is part of the twelve-building Brooklyn Basin development master plan that is transforming an industrial portion of Oakland’s waterfront adjacent to the Jack London district. Anton DevCo is responsible for the development after purchasing the rights to develop in 2019. Signature Development and Reynolds & Brown manage the 3,100-unit masterplan for Brooklyn Basin.
