Oakland Planning Commission has scheduled a design review meeting for Brooklyn Basin Project in Oakland, Alameda County. The project proposal includes the development of a seven-story senior housing complex.
The building will be developed on the corner lot of the waterfront masterplan by Signature Development Group. SRM Development is the developer for Parcel E. The project is designed by Urbal Architecture. The Brooklyn Basin master plan has a total of 3,700 unit. It is financed by Signature, Zarsion Holdings Group, and Reynolds & Brown. Jett Landscape Architecture + Design is responsible for the landscape designs.
The senior housing complex will provide 191 residential care units, consisting of 167 residential care units and 24 memory care rooming units, and 100 parking spaces, in a 7-story building.
The senior housing complex will rise to a height of 81 feet and yield a total built-up area of 215,140 square feet. The housing complex will yield residential built-up area of 131,250 square feet, 27,780 square feet is for common amenities, and 14,420 square feet for parking, with the remaining area used for circulation or utilities. Unit sizes will vary from studios to two bedrooms, with 36 memory-care units on the second level.
The Final Development Permit (FDP) has been submitted, and a design review is scheduled for October 5, 2022. More architectural details on the project can be found here.
