Planning applications have been approved, and new building permits filed to renovate and expand the existing Mission Branch library at 300 Bartlett Street in San Francisco’s Mission District. The city-led proposal would modernize and increase the accessibility of the 107-year old building. The San Francisco Public Works is responsible for the design and application.
New renderings have been revealed for the 19-story mixed-use tower proposed for 530 Sansome Street in the Financial District of San Francisco. Proposed just a block from the Transamerica Pyramid, the new high-rise would demolish two buildings, retaining the function of an existing low-rise fire station and produce 200 new hotel guest rooms. Related is sponsoring the project through EQX Jackson SQ Holdco LLC with the San Francisco Bureau of Real Estate and the San Francisco Fire Department.
The St. Regis Museum Tower rises 484 feet over Yerba Buena Gardens to be the 36th tallest tower in the Bay Area planned or built. The mixed-use building has added 260 hotel rooms and 102 residential units to the San Francisco housing market in SoMa, along with the Museum for the African Diaspora. Skidmore Owings & Merrill is responsible for the design.
The San Francisco Planning Commission is expected to approve HOME-SF authorization for a six-story mixed-use building with some affordable housing at 2800 Geary Boulevard in San Francisco’s Presidio Heights planning neighborhood. The San Franciso-based Shamrock Real Estate Co. is the project owner.
A Preliminary Project Assessment application has been submitted seeking the approval of two residential buildings at 1970 Ocean Avenue in Mount Davidson Manor, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the construction of the residential buildings and renovation and restoration of a theater that is landmarked as a historical site. An Art Deco piece, the El Rey Theater was designed in 1931 by JR Miller and Timothy Pflueger. The project has received an HRE report from Page & Turnbull.
