CEQA Documents Reviewed for Multifamily Project in Alameda

More documents, including a design review and notice of exemption, have been filed with CEQA on behalf of a project located at 2433 Mariner Square Drive in Alameda. Previously reported on by SF YIMBY in 2024, the project is being brought by The Martin Group with plans to transform the West Alameda parcel. The current commercial area would be replaced by high-rise residential with views of downtown Oakland, the Port of Oakland, and across the San Francisco Bay.

Preliminary Project Submittal Extends Plans for Townhomes at 445 Ortega

Early this year development applications were submitted for the demolition and construction of a new development at 445 Ortega Street in San Francisco. Since SF YIMBY’s last update on the site in February, new documents have been filed with the city in the form of a preliminary application that if accepted will freeze planning codes and standards for the site as they are now, regardless of changes made to policy before a full application can be approved.

Hotel Project at 400 Bay Street Gets a Second Chance to be Built

At project located at 400 Bay Street in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood was previously approved for development in 2015. However, the building was never built, and the site has remained vacant. However, a new proposal would piggyback on the previously environmental approvals for the site to bring a new and only slightly modified hotel project to the site.

Building Permit Filed for 249 Mississippi Street in Potrero Hill

The planned construction of a two unit property in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood is moving ahead with building permits being filed this week. The project was previously reported on by SF YIMBY in July of 2024 during it’s original planning phase, but more detailed plans and information have now been released. Craig Steely Architecture is responsible for the project design.
