Developers have filed an extension request for an application for a proposed mixed-use residential project at 1116 18th Street in Midtown Sacramento. The project proposal includes the construction of a new seven-story mixed-use residential building offering 24 units. SKK Developments is responsible for the proposal via 18th St Alfa LLC. C2K Architecture is responsible for the building design. Garth Ruffner Landscape Architect is responsible for landscape architecture.

Construction has topped out for the Fay at 600 South First Street in Downtown San Jose. The 23-story project rises over I-280 as a prominent southernmost tower in the urban core. Its over three hundred apartments are expected to open up in early 2025. Morro is the project developer.

Demolition permits have been requested for the vacant Sacramento Municipal Utility District site along 59th Street in East Sacramento. Following demolition and soil remediation, the nearly twenty-acre property is expected to be redeveloped with nearly nine hundred homes, an updated light-rail station, and public open space. BlackPine and SKK are jointly responsible for the development.

Court Upholds 19-Story Moxy Hotel in Downtown San Jose

The California State Court of Appeal has rejected a request by the Preservation Action Council of San Jose that would have prevented the construction of a hotel at 8 North Almaden Boulevard in Downtown San Jose. The proposal aims to replace a vacant parking lot with a 19-story Moxy Hotel immediately next to the historic Hotel De Anza, the main source of the contention. KT Urban is the project developer.

The developers for 600 South First Street have secured enough funding for the development of a mixed-use tower in Downtown San Jose. Recent reporting by George Avalos of the Bay Area News Group confirms Scape, the international company focused on student and market-rate housing, has been loaned as much as $182 million by Madison Realty Capital. The proposal is expecting to create 336 new homes.
