Plans have been approved for a townhouse development at 2100-2400 Geng Road in Palo Alto, Santa Clara County. The proposal has secured entitlements for a 145-unit neighborhood near the waterfront Baylands Nature Preserve. San Francisco-based Strada Investment Group is responsible for the project.

Construction will produce 145 units across 65 buildings. This will include 48 detached townhomes and 17 multi-unit rowhouse structures for the remaining 97 units. The project will designate 19 units as deed-restricted affordable units for households earning around 60% of the area’s median income.
Dahlin Group is responsible for the design, with Guzzardo Partnership overseeing the landscape architecture. Details about the design have not changed since previous coverage, with boxy townhome structures wrapped with stucco and wood siding. For the multiplexes, units will be distinguished by their articulated bay windows.

The 11-acre parcel is located along Geng Road close to the Baylands Golf Links and US Route 101. Demolition will be required of four existing two-story office buildings and associated surface parking.

The application utilized the Builder’s Remedy provision to streamline approval and avoid local zoning requirements. The estimated cost and timeline for construction have not yet been shared.
