Habitat for Humanity has submitted updated plans for a residential infill project at 335-355 Pierce Road in the Belle Haven neighborhood of Menlo Park, San Mateo County. The project, named Laurel Landing, would add eight townhouse-style units to a small parcel overlooking Highway 101 and close to Meta Park.

The proposal will add two three-story structures, each containing four townhouse-style apartments with a single-car garage, and access to shared landscaping. Each apartment will have a terraced entrance facing the side-lot setbacks, accessible for residents and guests via a pathway connecting to the existing sidewalk.
All eight units will be available for ownership to households earning no more than 80% of the area’s median income. Unit sizes will vary with three two-bedrooms, two three-bedrooms, and three four-bedroom dwellings.
TCA Architects is responsible for the design, and TS Studios is overseeing the landscape architecture. Renderings show that the overall architecture has not changed much, though the color palette has shifted towards ‘millennial gray’ across the exteriors. Facade materials include composite wood-look siding and metal awnings.

Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco purchased the lot with a $3.6 million fund provided by the city. Demolition will be required for an existing single-family house. The estimated cost and timeline for construction have not yet been shared.
