The San Francisco Planning Commission is scheduled to review plans tonight for the massive Freedom West 2.0 master plan. The city has published the Draft Environmental Impact Report, which provides insight into the proposal to replace an existing affordable housing neighborhood with more than two thousand apartments, including replacement units for existing residents. MacFarlane Partners is the project applicant, working with Avanath Capital Management.

Construction Next Year For 470 South Market Street in Downtown San Jose

Construction is expected to start early next year for the affordable housing project at 470 South Market Street in Downtown San Jose, Santa Clara County. The Gateway Tower team has secured millions of dollars in city and county funding to pursue the 15-story project, with the majority of financing provided by JPMorgan Chase Bank. The Core Companies is sponsoring the project.

Demolition Permits for 2128 Oxford Street in Downtown Berkeley

Demolition permits have been filed for the existing buildings at 2128 Oxford Street in Downtown Berkeley, Alameda County. The application is related to plans for what could become the tallest building in the city if finished today, a 285-foot-tall apartment complex with 456 apartments above ground-level retail space. Chicago-based Core Spaces is responsible for the application, with planning and CEQA consultation from the Rhoades Planning Group.

Plans for First Building Filed in Freedom West 2.0 Mega-Development, San Francisco

Facade Installation Starts for DGS Resources Building in Sacramento

Facade installation has started for the historic Resources Building at 1416 9th Street in Downtown Sacramento. The 17-story building constructed for the California Department of General Services sixty years ago, once the tallest building in Sacramento, is being remodeled with upgraded facilities and a new glassy facade.
