Demolition Permits Filed For 860-880 McAllister Street, San Francisco

Demolition permits have been filed for three existing structures within the Freedom West housing cooperative in San Francisco’s Fillmore District. The application would bolster the construction of the first new complex of the Freedom West 2.0 masterplan with over a hundred units of affordable senior housing at 880 McAllister Street. MacFarlane Partners and Avanath Capital Management are the project sponsors.

Meeting Tomorrow For Freedom West 2.0, San Francisco

The San Francisco Planning Commission is scheduled to review plans tonight for the massive Freedom West 2.0 master plan. The city has published the Draft Environmental Impact Report, which provides insight into the proposal to replace an existing affordable housing neighborhood with more than two thousand apartments, including replacement units for existing residents. MacFarlane Partners is the project applicant, working with Avanath Capital Management.

Funding Milestone Reached for Redevelopment of Freedom West, San Francisco

A new funding milestone has been announced for Freedom West 2.0, a master plan to right the wrongs of 20th-century urban redevelopment in San Francisco’s Fillmore District. The $27 million secured to date comes a month after a new state bill has created a new pathway to finance the project. The development team includes MacFarlane Partners and Avanath Capital Management.

New Renderings Revealed for 2,387-home Freedom West Proposal, Fillmore District, San Francisco

New renderings have been revealed along with updated planning documents for Freedom West, a multi-billion dollar project to build 2,387 new residential units in San Francisco’s Fillmore District. The development will offer replacement housing for all displaced residents while adding a new hotel, retail, community spaces, and new open space. MacFarlane Development Company is responsible for the application.
