The planned development at 1655 Berryessa Road in San Jose celebrated the commencement of phase one in the construction of a new neighborhood. The site for the project is a 13-acre, formerly industrial and logistics lot located a short walk from the Berryessa BART Station. The Facchino Family, who own the site, made the decision to redevelop it into more than 700 units of new transit-oriented housing.
The San Jose Planning Commission is scheduled to review plans for the Facchino District next to the Berryessa BART Station, Santa Clara County. The 13.05-acre site will contribute to the dense mixed-use master plan. The Bumb family, the Flea Market’s current property owner and founder is responsible for the application.
The Draft Environmental Impact Report has been published for a 13-acre mixed-use project at 1655 Berryessa Road in North San Jose, Santa Clara County. The 850-unit proposal is part of the larger vision to create new density around the Berryessa BART Station, the newest stop in the regional transit network. Terracommercial Real Estate, run by Mike LaBarbera and Rob Facchino, is the project applicant.

The San Jose planning commission will review and vote on adopting the Berryessa BART Urban Village Plan as a guiding policy document in a public meeting tomorrow evening. The plan would rezone 28.9 acres surrounding the newly-opened BART station to allow for over four million square feet of commercial space and roughly 5,100 new residential units.
