Just over a year after the official groundbreaking ceremony, crews have topped out the five-story affordable educator housing development at 1360 43rd Avenue in San Francisco’s Sunset District. The Shirley Chisholm Village has replaced a former school and outdoor yard with the low-rise apartment infill designed by BAR Architects with G7A. MidPen Housing is the project developer, and Cahill is the general contractor.
Construction is expected to start this summer on the Shirley Chisholm Village Educator Housing at 1360 43rd Avenue in San Francisco’s Sunset District. The property has been used as a public park over the last six years while the city reviewed the housing project. Now with approval set and construction to start in a few months, an event has been organized to celebrate the impending closure of Parkland at 43rd Avenue tomorrow, May 7th.
New building permits have been filed for a single-story factory-built restaurant at 4801 3rd Street in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood. The project, dubbed Bishop’s Bayview in the most recent planning documents, has been in the works for years, with a similar project filed to the city in 2016. North Beach-based G7A is responsible for the design.
