Demolition permits have ben filed for an existing building at 3300 Mission Street in Bernal Heights, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the demolition of an existing six-story mixed-use building and construction of a new mixed-use affordable housing project.
The development team includes Mitchelville Real Estate Group, Bernal Heights Housing Corporation, and the Tabernacle Community Development Corporation. BAR Architects is working with historical consultant Page & Turnbull for the design. AWA Landscape Architect will be overseeing the ground-level streetscape and crowning rooftop deck.

Final EIR Review for SFMTA Potrero Yard Redevelopment

Plans are moving forward to build hundreds of affordable homes inside a new bus yard in San Francisco’s Mission District. This Thursday, the city’s Planning Commission is scheduled to review the Final Environmental Impact Report about the SFMTA Potrero Yards Modernization proposal. The project will replace the existing bus yard and build up to 513 units, with a refined project variant floated to build just 103 units. SFMTA and Plenary Group are joint developers.

New Building Permits for Affordable Adaptive Reuse of 3300 Mission Street

New building permits have been filed for the adaptive reuse of 3300 Mission Street in Bernal Heights, San Francisco. The 100% affordable proposal will receive a fast-tracked approval process per the Mayor Lee-passed executive directive for the vacant building, which was damaged in a 2016 fire. The development team will include Mitchelville Real Estate Group, Bernal Heights Housing Corporation, and the Tabernacle Community Development Corporation.
