Groundbreaking for Balboa Park BART Housing in the Outer Mission, San Francisco

Groundbreaking has officially occurred for the nine-story Balboa Park Upper Yard apartment building, a transit-oriented development poised to create new affordable residences in the Outer Mission area of San Francisco. The proposal would produce 131 new homes for the housing-strapped city right next to the Balboa Park BART station. Mission Housing Development Corporation and the Related Companies are responsible for the development.

New renderings have been revealed for a three-story residence proposed at 1247 Bosworth Street in San Francisco’s Outer Mission neighborhood. The proposal would contribute to the area’s single-family character despite proximity to the Glen Park BART station. Martinkovic Milford Architects is responsible for the design and development.

Public notices will start to circulate for neighbors of the proposed development site at 1817-1823 Alemany Boulevard, located in the Outer Mission neighborhood of San Francisco. New building permits have already been filed for the site and are under review. Alemany Properties LLC, a small corporation run by an Alameda resident, is responsible for developing as a project sponsor.

Construction permits were filed seeking the approval of constructing an eight-story building at 4742 Mission Street in Outer Mission, San Francisco. The project sponsor proposes the demolition of the existing fifteen-foot-tall, one-story commercial building, and a seventy-five-foot tall mixed-use building.

Located in Outer Mission, San Francisco, the developers increased their plans from 24 to 69 apartments. The permits credit HOME-SF, a city-wide local density bonus program to encourage affordable housing near transit. The developer is not listed.
