New permits have been filed for the 2832 34th Street site in the Oak Park neighborhood of Sacramento. The location was previously reported on by SF YIMBY for a townhome project in 2023. That project has since fallen through, and a new multifamily building project has emerged for the site.

The project can now begin with the plans to expand facilities by more than 58,000 square feet.

The proposal would bring the neighborhood an updated facility four blocks away from the Oakland Fire Department’s current 116-year-old facility. The Oakland Public Works Department is responsible for the application.
