Just over a month after its announcement, the new Bay Area women’s soccer team, Bay FC, has filed permits for the new permanent training facility at 449 Avenue H on Treasure Island, San Francisco. The application will create a two-story facility and three soccer fields. The Treasure Island Development Authority is listed as the property owner.
Star View Court has opened its doors to residents as the second affordable housing community to finish in recent years on San Francisco’s Treasure Island. The seven-story building has added 138 units to 78 Johnson Street, including 94 replacement units for families living on the artificial island. Catholic Charities and Mercy Housing are jointly responsible for the development.
Tishman Speyer and the Giants gathered the project team and elected officials yesterday afternoon to celebrate the ribbon cutting of Verde, the 23-story residential addition in San Francisco’s Mission Rock master plan. The green tile-clad tower is the fourth and final structure in phase one of the multi-phase redevelopment of the Giant’s 28 acres of surface parking.
