Commercial new building permits have been filed, revealing plans for a four-story multi-family proposal for 3311 Broadway in Oak Park, Sacramento. The proposal would create 130 units on top of a currently vacant parcel in the Fruitridge Broadway planning area within walking distance of Midtown. A project applicant was not named on the permit.

The four-story building will yield 120,860 square feet, with 98,900 square feet of residential area and 23,920 square feet of common area. Unit sizes will range from 540 square feet to 990 square feet. There will be 49 studios, 68 one-bedroom units, and 13 two-bedroom units.

Offers quick vehicular access to Downtown Sacramento and within walking distance to Midtown neighborhoods like Newton Booth and the affluent Poverty Hill neighborhoods

Construction is expected to cost $15.2 million. A timeline for completion has not yet been announced. The property is in close proximity to several bus stops and twenty minutes from the regional light rail Gold Line. The project is also nearby 3206 Broadway, a 21-unit mixed-use development along Broadway.

  1. So will these new aptsbw for homeless of how much will the rent be because none of us are rich that’s why we all live in oak park. Hello wake up world. Be for real.

  2. Parking and traffic are already a nightmare in this area. This influx of high density also doesn’t seem to fit in with the whole Urban Design of this stretch of Broadway.
