Updated plans were filed late last week for the Grace Pointe development along Brannigan Street in Dublin, Alameda County. The affordable housing project is looking to bring 60 units of supportive housing for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Satellite Affordable Housing Associates and Sunflower Hill have formed a joint venture to be the developer.

The three-story building will include 60 apartments, a community courtyard, and surface parking. Of the 60 units, there will be 30 one-bedrooms, 29 two-bedrooms, and one three-bedroom apartment. The site will include space for 36 cars. The site includes a single-story amenity space occupied with a community room, fitness center, and maker space.

Dahlin Group is responsible for the architecture. Renderings show a low-slung podium-style apartment complex. The facade is visually broken up with a mix of subtle bay windows and slanted roofing at the ends of the C-shaped complex.

The proposal would replace 1.8 acres of farmland at the corner of Dublin Boulevard and Brannigan Street. The site is close to the busy Tassajara Road thoroughfare. Once built, the project will be immediately next to Dublin Center, a 77-acre proposal led by Landsea Homes Corporation. Landsea celebrated the ground-breaking for the project last year, which will eventually produce around 500 units across a mix of apartments and homes.

Last November, the Grace Pointe development received a boost with a $5 million loan from Dublin City Council. With the project application now submitted, the team will require approval from the city’s planning commission and city council.

  1. Good to see these kinds of projects happening in the Tri Valley. It’s within walking distance of the new high school, retail, and several parks.
