Permits have been filed for a new apartment complex at 3008 Rio Linda Boulevard in the South Hagginwood neighborhood of Sacramento. The project will bring thirty new homes to a vacant lot in the low-density corner of northern Sacramento. The project applicant is not specified.

The application describes that 31 units will be constructed across a three-story apartment complex and a detached two-story building. The detached structure will have a two-bedroom manager’s unit on top of a ground-floor leasing office. Parking will be included for 33 cars. Bicycle parking capacity is not specified. Additional site improvements will include a common outdoor space, a children’s play area, and landscaping.

The property is located along a low-density stretch of Rio Linda Boulevard between Acacia Avenue and Sonoma Avenue. Future residents will be less than a mile away from a commercial strip along Del Paso Boulevard.

Public records show the property last sold in September 2025 for $200,000. The previous owner was a Campbell-based revocable trust.

  1. Great area and candidate for housing infill.

  2. That area is way overdue for new housing development! Hopefully, it’ll get built.
