Construction is now underway for the nine-story affordable senior housing complex at 967 Mission Street in SoMa, San Francisco. BGI and Nibbi have started excavation on the former surface parking lot in preparation for the 95-unit residential infill. The development is sponsored by the MOHCD, following the property’s dedication to the city by the developers of 5M.
Construction is progressing for an affordable housing project at 33435 Mission Boulevard in Alameda County’s Union City. The development is being led by MidPen Housing, looking to produce 81 units across a four-story complex with community-serving retail space to be operated by Union City’s Youth & Family Services. The project is the first affordable development in decades for the Decoto neighborhood.
EAH Housing celebrated the grand opening of two affordable housing projects in Hayward, Alameda County. The developer’s dual ribbon-cutting events marked the opening of 133 units, split between Mission Paradise in South Hayward and Pimentel Place in Downtown Hayward.
Construction financing has been secured for an affordable housing development at 797 South Almaden Avenue in the Guadalupe Washington neighborhood of San Jose. The development is expected to produce nearly a hundred units at a currently vacant corner lot. Berkeley-based affordable housing developer RCD Housing is responsible for the project.
Oscar James Residences has officially opened its doors at 151 and 351 Friedell Street in San Francisco’s Hunters Point Shipyard. The project team and public officials gathered late last week to celebrate the completion of over a hundred affordable units across two five-story buildings. Jonathan Rose Companies and Bayview Senior Services are jointly responsible for the development.
