The redesign will adjust an existing baseball field to meet the Pioneer Baseball League regulations for the newly formed Oakland Ballers team. The City of Oakland owns the field.
The Oakland A’s could leave California for Las Vegas as early as 2027. This news follows the announcement by the team president of a recent land deal in Las Vegas. The A’s have been actively working with the city for roughly two decades to move from their existing coliseum, though they have been publicly courting Las Vegas starting in 2021. The move would leave Oakland with no remaining major league sports teams.
The City of Oakland and Strada Investment Group are closing on a deal for leasing 520 11th Street in Downtown Oakland, Alameda County. The 0.86-acre property is entitled to become the future ten-story addition to Samuel Merritt University. The project was approved this summer.
