While site work has been active since the start of this year, its official groundbreaking ceremony was held late last month. Once complete, the block will add 335 new apartments in the high-rise neighborhood by Rincon Hill.
The San Francisco Board of Supervisors is scheduled to vote later today to provide a $115.8 million construction loan for affordable housing at Transbay Block 2 East. The proposal is expected to rise 17 stories tall and bring 184 below-market-rate rental apartments to 200 Folsom Street in the heart of the densely-developed Transbay neighborhood. Mercy Housing is the project sponsor.
New renderings have been published for the two affordable housing projects at 200 Folsom Street in the East Cut, San Francisco. Amended plans for Transbay Block 2 are scheduled for a public review by the city’s Planning Commission for next week on December 1st. As well, new building permits have now been filed for the 17-story Transbay Block 2 East, being developed by Mercy Housing. Transbay Block 2 West is being developed by the Chinatown Community Development Center.
