A new residential project has been proposed for development at 1701 San Pablo Avenue in Berkeley. The project proposal includes the development of a six-story building offering 100 % affordable housing units with onsite parking. The project site houses Berkeley Adult School. Two community-based nonprofit housing providers, Satellite Affordable Housing Associates (SAHA) and Abode Communities, have partnered with Berkeley Unified School District (BUSD) to develop the project. PYATOK Architects is responsible for the designs.

The project proposes the construction of an eight-story, mixed-use development with residential and commercial spaces. Berkland Foundation Inc is the property owner. The 28-story project is now two floors higher, 40 feet taller, covers two additional parcels, and, most significantly, residential capacity has doubled to 599 apartments.
