Construction has started on Canvas, an affordable housing project at 39340 Fremont Boulevard in Fremont’s Central District. The project will add 92 apartments to the city’s urban core, financed through a mix of local and federal sources. Community Development Partners is responsible for the development.
The Temple Way Development Project has submitted a final Environmental Impact Report for a new residential project located at 38134 Temple Way in Fremont. The project is brought by Temple Peralta Investors, and will be located at the site of a vacant church and parking lot associated with its affiliate community organization. The completion of the final EIR marks a significant milestone in the project’s progress to completion.
Plans have passed through the environmental review process for the Dream 2 Housing proposal at 41223 Roberts Avenue in Fremont, Alameda County. The proposal would replace a vacant lot behind a Safeway grocery store with a residential project for adults with special needs. Van Meter Williams Pollack LLP is responsible for the application and architecture.
New planning permits have been filed for a proposed six-story affordable housing complex at 45021 Warm Springs Boulevard in Fremont, Alameda County. The application is a significant step forward for the project less than a month after the city awarded the developers $12 million in funding. Maracor Development and the Pacific Companies are jointly responsible.

The project proposal includes the development of a two-building affordable housing community that includes redeveloping a motel on the site and a new three-story construction. The project aims to enrich community thru efficient design. The project team includes RCD, James E. Roberts-Obayashi Corp, and Van Meter Williams Pollack.
