The City of Oakland has published the Draft Environmental Impact Report on the California College of the Arts Oakland Campus redevelopment at 5200 Broadway. The announcement is an important milestone for the developer to construct over five hundred homes, open space, and preserved historic buildings across the four acres. New plans have been filed to the Oakland Planning Commission for a new religious community hub at 5901 College Avenue for the city’s Rockridge neighborhood. The plans would repurpose an existing office space and create a new home for the non-profit Jewish Community Center of the East Bay, remaining in Alameda County. Equity Community Builders is responsible for the application.
