The permits come with a design update by KTGY, the project architect, and the loss of one unit, now proposing to build 28 homes. Signature Development Group is the developer.

The application will create 73 affordable units built by Satellite Affordable Housing Associates. Saint Mary’s Center is the property owner, filing through 967 32nd Street Associates LLC.
Construction work is underway on the three-story residential infill at 2242 Magnolia Street in McClymonds, West Oakland. Crews are hoping to finish work this year, adding 65 new units to the city’s housing market. Riaz Capital is responsible for the development.
Aerial renderings have been provided for the West Oakland Mandela BART Station development, spanning 5.58 acres around 1451 7th Street. The development hopes to create new homes, a life science laboratory, thriving retail, and a network of public open spaces to reshape former surface parking into a new urban heart for the burgeoning area. The project is a joint development dubbed CHEC-SUDA-Hensel Phelps.
New illustrations have been revealed with an exploratory planning application for the 24-story residential development at 600 Castro Street in West Oakland. The renderings show the upzoned massing, 190 feet higher than its current zoning for 85 feet. The proposal is yet another beneficiary of California’s State Density Bonus Program, which aims to increase residential development with affordable units for the housing-starved state.
