New plans have been published for affordable senior housing and a new church space at 793 West Grand Avenue in West Oakland. The proposal would demolish several structures, including the existing church building owned by the project sponsor, Joshua Christian Church. Construction will span two phases, building 101 homes and community space.
A new residential project has begun construction at 1666 7th Street in West Oakland. The project proposal includes the development of a five-story apartment complex offering affordable housing. Oakland & the World Enterprises is the project sponsor, led by OAW’s CEO and former Black Panther Party chairwoman, Elaine Brown. MWA Architects is responsible for the design.
Plans have been revealed for a five-story mixed-use development at 990 34th Street, located between San Pablo Avenue and Market Street in West Oakland. The project, titled the Brubeck Building, would replace an existing two-story apartment building with 44 new homes. Gunkel Architecture is managing the design.
New building permits have been filed for the four-story residential infill at 2400 Adeline Street in McClymonds, West Oakland. The permits come with a design update by KTGY, the project architect, and the loss of one unit, now proposing to build 28 homes. Signature Development Group is the developer.
New development permits have been filed for the proposed six-story senior housing project at 3135 San Pablo Avenue in West Oakland. The application will create 73 affordable units built by Satellite Affordable Housing Associates. Saint Mary’s Center is the property owner, filing through 967 32nd Street Associates LLC.
