Affordable Housing Breaks Ground At 36 Amber Drive, Diamond Heights, San Francisco

Celebrating with her city, Mayor London Breed announced the recent news of groundbreaking for an affordable housing project at 36 Amber Drive in Diamond Heights, San Francisco. The project will offer eight dwellings, available for purchase for low- to moderate-income families. The project is the first City-sponsored affordable housing partnership with Habitat for Humanity. The Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development (MOHCD) is the project developer. Kerman Morris Architects is responsible for the design concepts and construction.

The 32nd tallest building in the Bay Area planned or built is 333 O’Farrell Street in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood by Union Square. The structure rises 493 feet tall to be the tallest structure exclusively for hotel use in the Bay, and was the second of three structures in the full-block Hilton San Francisco complex. 333 O’Farrell opened in 1971 with design by John Carl Warnecke & Associates.
