The city of San Francisco and its Mayor, London Breed, celebrated the groundbreaking of Bayfront Park in Mission Bay. The ceremony, held last week, announced the opening of a new park between Chase Center and San Francisco Bay. The Bayfront Park project is managed by the Office of Community Investment and Infrastructure (OCII) and built by Mission Bay’s master developer, FOCIL-MB LLC.

San Francisco is planning to build a new Fire Department Training Facility at 1236 Carroll Avenue in Hunters Point. The project has just received approval by the City, with the Mayor having signed legislation for the property acquisition. It will replace the existing facilities at 2310 Folsom Street, and on Treasure Island at 649 Avenue N. The San Francisco Department of Public Works is responsible for the design.

Famed San Francisco Painted Lady Hits the Market for $3.55 Million

The Pink Painted Lady on Postcard Row has hit the market again. 714 Steiner Street was purchased by Leah Culver, a senior Twitter engineer in January of 2020. Culver shared her efforts to renovate the project on social media, along with approved permits to restore the project with design by David Armour Architecture. Now, the San Francisco landmark is on the market again for $3.55 million, the same price it sold for over two years ago.

The project will rise six stories above 15th Street, with a rear-yard building offering four townhome-style units. Veev, a start-up based in San Mateo, is the project developer and contractor.
