New plans have been filed following an existing proposal at 960 Howard Street in SoMa, San Francisco. oWOW has filed to construct a 14-story mixed-use infill with a mass-timber superstructure instead of a three-story office project. Demolition work has already been completed on-site, preserving the facade of the former industrial building.
The City of South San Francisco has published detailed plans for a 26-acre mixed-use proposal by Lane Partners to develop offices or life science buildings beside retail and public open space. The project would demolish the dozen low-slung industrial structures nearby a residential neighborhood, large shops, and the San Bruno BART Station, San Mateo County. DES Architects will be responsible for the design.
For the first time in 25 years, San Francisco State University has opened a new academic building. The project includes the construction of the George and Judy Marcus Hall for the Liberal and Creative Arts Building, which is home to SFSU’s Broadcast and Electronic Communications Arts (BECA) program.
