New permits have been filed for a partial office-to-residential conversion inside 995 Market Street in San Francisco’s Mid-Market neighborhood. The proposal will renovate eight floors to produce eight co-living residences inside the 16-story complex, recently renamed Frontier Tower. The application comes just days after the Germany-based venture capital firm, Deep Ink Ventures, announced ownership of the building.
Plans have been filed for a three-story apartment infill at 100 Culebra Terrace in San Francisco’s affluent Russian Hill neighborhood. The preliminary application looks to bring two dwellings to a vacant lot just three blocks from the Fort Mason neighborhood. Marmol Radziner is responsible for the application on behalf of the property owner, Nicholas Vanderboom.
Plans for a new residential development at 1000 Broadway in Russian Hill, San Francisco, continue to move forward as developers seek key zoning variances to bring the project to fruition. The project proposal includes the development of four separate buildings containing a total of five dwelling units on a currently vacant corner lot. Russian Hill Lending LLC is listed as the owner. Page & Turnbull is responsible for the designs.
A new variance request was submitted by Mahya Salehi Studio for the proposed remodel of the building at 42-50 Allen Street in San Francisco’s Russian Hill neighborhood. The proposal, which would involve the conversion of the lower-story garages into two ADU units, coincides with construction to seismically retrofit the building.
Early last month the San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to approve the proposed redevelopment of Embarcadero Park along the Financial District’s waterfront. The decision comes after voters approved Proposition B last November, providing up to 41 million towards the redevelopment of multiple parks in the San Francisco Downtown neighborhoods.
