The San Francisco Board of Supervisors is scheduled to vote later today to provide a $115.8 million construction loan for affordable housing at Transbay Block 2 East. The proposal is expected to rise 17 stories tall and bring 184 below-market-rate rental apartments to 200 Folsom Street in the heart of the densely-developed Transbay neighborhood. Mercy Housing is the project sponsor.
The San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit Board of Directors recently reviewed the latest plans for the El Cerrito Plaza BART Station. The public presentation includes a tentative phasing schedule, which says construction on the several-hundred-unit masterplan could start as early as next year. The transit agency is working with Related California and Holliday Development.
The Oakland Planning Commission is scheduled to vote this Wednesday on a proposed warehouse at 3600 Alameda Avenue. The proposal will redevelop a 24-acre industrial campus close to I-880 by the city’s border with Alameda. Prologis, a San Francisco-based real estate investment trust, is the project owner.
Development permits have been filed seeking the approval of a residential project proposed for development on a site located along The Turn in Oakland. San Francisco-based Knock Architecture and Design is responsible for the designs.
Partial demolition permits have been filed to facilitate the conversion of the La Quinta by Wyndham Hotel into affordable housing at 1390 El Camino Real in Millbrae, San Mateo County. The project hopes to use funds from the statewide Homekey program to create new permanent supportive housing. The Episcopal Community Services of San Francisco will operate the future property and services.
