Preliminary permits have been filed for a new residential master plan at 2100-2400 Geng Road in Palo Alto, Santa Clara County. The sprawling project will bring over a hundred apartments and more parking to an office campus next to other offices, San Francisquito Creek, and near the waterfront Baylands Nature Preserve. San Francisco-based Strada Investment Group is responsible for the application.
UC Berkeley has published the notice of preparation for the Berkeley Space Center in the NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, Santa Clara County. The university is working with NASA to create a $2 billion 36-acre research campus of academic and research facilities in the heart of the historic Moffett Field. UC and San Francisco-based SKS Partners have entered a joint venture, Moffett Partners LLC, to pursue development.
Demolition permits have been submitted for a 2018 Blake Street in South Berkeley, Alameda County. The project proposal includes the demolition of a detached garaged on the site that was damaged in a fire. After demolition, the project site is slated to be developed with a six-story residential infill. Tripalink is the project developer. DNM Architecture is responsible for the design, taking over plans from the San Francisco-based Fifth Arch. RW Stover and Associates is responsible for the landscape architecture.
Preliminary plans have been filed for the conversion of an existing apartment complex at 2901-2929 16th Street in San Francisco’s Mission District to be converted into affordable housing. The application comes as local nonprofit Mission Economic Development Agency is in the process of acquiring the site.
San Francisco University High School Project has reached structural completion at 3150 California Street, Pacific Heights, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the construction of new additions to the San Francisco University High School project in the form of a three-story structure centered with a central gym, science classrooms, and outdoor space. Truebeck Construction, is the general contractor. Leddy Maytum Stacy Architects is responsible for the designs.
