Environmental Review Process Starts for UC Berkeley Space Center Campus, Mountain View

UC Berkeley has published the notice of preparation for the Berkeley Space Center in the NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, Santa Clara County. The university is working with NASA to create a $2 billion 36-acre research campus of academic and research facilities in the heart of the historic Moffett Field. UC and San Francisco-based SKS Partners have entered a joint venture, Moffett Partners LLC, to pursue development.

Demolition permits have been submitted for a  2018 Blake Street in South Berkeley, Alameda County. The project proposal includes the demolition of a detached garaged on the site that was damaged in a fire. After demolition, the project site is slated to be developed with a six-story residential infill. Tripalink is the project developer. DNM Architecture is responsible for the design, taking over plans from the San Francisco-based Fifth Arch. RW Stover and Associates is responsible for the landscape architecture.

The project proposal includes the construction of new additions to the San Francisco University High School project in the form of a three-story structure centered with a central gym, science classrooms, and outdoor space. Truebeck Construction, is the general contractor. Leddy Maytum Stacy Architects is responsible for the designs.
