Construction Tops Out for 1433 Floribunda Avenue, Burlingame

Construction has topped out for the narrow apartment infill at 1433 Floribunda Avenue in Burlingame, San Mateo County. The project has replaced a low-density two-story home with eight residences close to City Hall and Burlingame Avenue. San Mateo-based Genesis Resources Inc is the project developer.

The 46-foot-tall structure will start at ground level with a 13-car stacker garage, one apartment, and a landscaped backyard. A stairwell will connect residents up to seven townhome-style apartments, each rising three floors with a private rooftop deck. Bicycle parking is not specified.

Levy Design Partners is responsible for the design. Facade installation has yet to start for the project, with renderings showing the articulated boxy structure wrapped with stucco and wood-look panels. CFLA is consulting on the landscaping.

The 0.2-acre property is located between El Camino Real and Primrose Road, under ten minutes from the Burlingame Caltrain Station on foot. Gordon A. Kullberg is the project’s general contractor, and Calichi Design Group is consulting on the civil engineer. At the current pace of construction, completion is likely by 2024.
