Plans have been filed for an affordable housing development at 2900 Wah Avenue in the residential Woodbine neighborhood of Sacramento. The project is being co-developed by Habitat for Humanity and Mutual Housing, with the two organizations splitting the roughly five-acre lot into two separate applications. Full build-out is looking to produce 101 apartments and 23 single-family homes.
Habitat for Humanity is overseeing the lower-density single-family housing project, with Mutual Housing responsible for the four-story apartment complex.

Of the 23 single-family homes, unit sizes will vary, with four two-bedroom, seven three-bedroom, and 12 four-bedroom dwellings. The 44-foot-tall apartment complex is expected to produce 101 units across 134,750 square feet. Surface parking will be included for 110 cars and 72 bicycles. Unit types will vary, with 23 one-bedroom, 50 two-bedroom, and 28 three-bedroom units.
Mogavero Architects is responsible for the design. Illustrations depict vernacular architectural styles employed for housing and multi-family complexes. Facade materials will include board and batten fiber cement siding, stucco, and thin brick veneer.

A beautiful project for a rough area, good luck!
That area needs all the new construction it can get, and there’s plenty of space for it!
