New Development in San Jose Projects Summer Start Date

The development at 210 Baypointe Parkway was approved in October 2024, but the timeline for construction was previously unclear. The CEQA filing was posted for a project to reconfigure the existing Pruneridge Golf Club property in Santa Clara and build a new five-story apartment building and 1.77-acre public park at 400 Saratoga Avenue. While holes 1, 2, and 3 are to be reconfigured in the property, no changes will be made to the existing driving range, clubhouse, and surface parking area for the golf course. In addition to the apartments, The plan will demolish an existing maintenance building and reconstruct a larger facility supported by a 4285-square-foot outdoor storage yard.

Design Review Meeting Scheduled for 2109 Virginia Street in Berkeley

The Berkeley Design Review Committee will meet tomorrow to discuss several agenda items, including the review of new plans for a development at 2109 Virginia Street in Berkeley. The designs by Stackhouse De La Pena Trachtenberg Architects calls for the demolition of a two-story building at 1677-1685 Shattuck Avenue, and the construction of a new eight story building with the revised address at 2109 Virginia Street.

Early Consideration Hearing Scheduled for 17-Story Residential Tower in San Jose

A hearing has been scheduled on May 14th to review a privately brought 2040 Envision Plan amendment that would allow the construction of a 17-story residential high-rise at 826 North Winchester Boulevard San Jose. The project, previously reported on by SF YIMBY in February and December of last year, would require the reassignment of the property from community commercial to transit residential.
