Two Affordable Developments Now Open at 237 and 253 Race Street in San Jose

Two complimentary affordable developments are now completed on adjacent sites at 237 and 253 Race Street in San Jose’s Sunol-Midtown neighborhood. The project entitled Belliarmo Place opened doors to 116 affordable units last fall. Meanwhile, the project entitled Alvarado Park opened 90 senior affordable housing units just last week. Both buildings were developed by the Santa Clara Housing Authority with The John Stewart Company stepping in as the property managers.

Formal Permits Filed for 64 Winfield Street in San Francisco

Earlier this week, the proposed building at 64 Winfield Street took a significant step forward when property developers submitted formal permit applications to the planning department. The property owner, Radu Binzari, has requested approval for the demolition of a small single-family home, to be replaced with a three-story apartment complex, including three main units and one ADU.

Revised Permits Submitted for Remaining Agrihood Project in Santa Clara

The Agrihood project located at 82 North Winchester Boulevard in Santa Clara has revised it’s original proposal for the community. The project is an extension of a project completed on the adjacent site in 2023, with plans to bring further housing to the community. The new proposal pivots from more apartment style units to a townhome focused design. These future homes will border the Agrihood open farm area and be integrated into the larger community.
