New building permits have been requested for the five-story affordable housing project at 440 Arden Way in Woodlake, Sacramento. The project proposal includes the construction of a new five-story building offering 100+ multi-family units. Plan call for replacing a vacated armory building on the site. The project is a proposal from BRIDGE Housing Corporation. LPAS Archtiecture + Design is responsible for the designs. The project will be built by the Tricorp group.

New renderings have been revealed for the North Berkeley BART Station redevelopment in Berkeley, Alameda County. The project will reshape a sea of surface parking with hundreds of homes, an extension of the Ohlone Greenway, and public open space. The detailed illustrations provide a comprehensive view of the proposed transit-oriented district.

New plans have been published for the Balboa Reservoir townhomes, an 89-unit component for the project that will create over a thousand homes next to the City College of San Francisco. The development team, led by AvalonBay Communities and BRIDGE Housing, told the SF Business Times they expect to purchase the land by the end of the year. With plans approved two years ago and the property sale likely, the team is eyeing a groundbreaking by 2024.

Official Groundbreaking for Potrero HOPE SF Phase Two

The official groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday afternoon for Potrero Block B, phase two of the Potrero HOPE SF masterplan at 1801 25th Street in Potrero Hill, San Francisco. Construction will create 157 affordable homes, of which most will be dedicated to existing Potrero Public Housing residents. BRIDGE Housing is the project’s developer.

Largest Affordable Housing Project in Berkeley Opens at 2012 Berkeley Way

The largest affordable housing project in Berkeley opened its doors last week with an official ceremony for the Berkeley Way Apartments at 2012 Berkeley Way. The event launched the opening of low-income and permanent supportive units and the Hope Center, which now provides supportive services for residents and the community in the downtown urban center, with BART and AC Transit both nearby. The project is a joint venture with BRIDGE Housing and BFHP.

Construction Starts for Affordable Condos at Mission Bay Block 9A, San Francisco

While facade installation is finishing up for Mission Bay Block 9, construction has officially started for the fully-affordable condominiums at Block 9A in Mission Bay, San Francisco. Both projects will bring new affordable housing to the city. Block 9 is dedicated to formerly homeless individuals, and Block 9A will sell 148 affordable condominiums opening by 2024.

New building permits have been filed for Balboa Reservoir Block F, a 100% affordable housing project within the 17-acre masterplan. The filing comes just a month after the design review application for Block F was approved by the San Francisco planning commission. Balboa Reservoir is a joint venture between BRIDGE Housing and AvalonBay Communities.

Construction work is on the third floor for 4840 Mission Street, a fully affordable residential infill along the border of Balboa Park and Excelsior, San Francisco. Construction work started in October 2020, with crews on track to open the building by the Summer of next year. Bridge Housing is responsible for the development.

BRIDGE Housing Corporation has proposed to replace the vacated Sacramento armory building with 124 new homes, including 31 permanent supportive housing. Now, the nonprofit developer is working with coUrbanize to get community feedback with the launch of a new website.
