New Imagery Revealed for Park Habitat at 180 Park Avenue, Downtown San Jose

New renderings have been revealed from a public meeting for 180 Park Avenue, i.e., Park Habitat, an innovatively designed 20-story office and expansion for the Tech Interactive museum building proposed for Downtown San Jose. Park Habitat is one of five projects from the joint venture between Vancouver-based Westbank and Gary Dillabough of Urban Community. Each project would add new density to the capital of Silicon Valley with innovative designs and sustainable architecture.

Renderings for The Orchard from Westbank’s Master Vision for Downtown San Jose

Earlier this month, Westbank released their master vision for five skyline-defining developments across downtown San Jose. Today, we highlight The Orchard, producing two towers at 300 South 1st Street and the third tower at 409 South 2nd Street, called The Orchard Workspace and The Orchard Residential. The Orchard yields over two million square feet combined, producing a campus of offices, housing, retail, and restaurants.

Renderings Released for Westbank’s Park Habitat at 180 Park Avenue, Downtown San Jose

New renderings have been released for Westbank’s mixed-use building, Park Habitat at 180 Park Avenue, Downtown San Jose. The illustrations came with the Westbank Campus Website launch, which provides a manifesto to connect the Canadian firm’s five Silicon Valley proposals with their innovative approaches that address climate change and encourage community through urban design. Each of the five projects has a unique goal. With Park Habitat, Westbank worked with Kengo Kuma & Associates to design a building that brings together offices and natural spaces in the city center.

Renderings Released for Westbank’s Energy Hub at 35 South 2nd Street, in Downtown San Jose

New renderings are out for Westbank’s Energy Hub, an innovative mixed-use tower proposed for 35 South 2nd Street in Downtown San Jose, with Bjarke Ingels Group’s design. The images were released with the launch of the Westbank Campus Website. The new website connects the firm’s five projects in San Jose with their master vision to get the Silicon Valley capital to the forefront of environmentally focused urbanization and offer solutions to address the climate crisis while meeting the demand for housing and workspace. The Energy Hub will provide shaded housing, retail, and office space just around the corner of the future San Jose BART station.

Renderings Show Rehabilitation of San Jose’s Iconic Bank of Italy Tower

A preliminary review package has revealed plans for a dramatic rehabilitation of the iconic Bank of Italy Tower at 12 South 1st Street in Downtown San Jose. While the structure is currently actively operating as an office building, the ground level remains vacant. Plans include modern office space, outdoor terraces, retail, and a music venue. Design is by Bjarke Ingels Group and RMW Architecture, with Urban Community and Vancouver-based Westbank as developers.
