The fifth tallest building in the Bay Area planned or built in the SFYIMBY January 2021 Countdown is the Transbay Parcel F at 550 Howard Street in SoMa, San Francisco. Proposed by a joint venture with Hines, Urban Pacific, and Goldman Sachs Asset Management, the mixed-use tower will rise 806 feet above street level. Construction is scheduled to start in the first quarter of next year.
New renderings have been revealed for an eight-story hotel to be built at 12 Mint Plaza in SoMa, San Francisco. The project would rise from a 1,875 square foot parcel to create 160 hotel beds within the Mint Conservation District. Elsey Partners is responsible for the development.

Developed by Millennium Partners, the project was built between 2005 and 2009 opened as the tallest residential tower west of Chicago. Since 2016, the building has garnered international news for both tilting and sinking.
