Crews stopped work in 2020 due to the pandemic, at which point the two-story concrete structure was transformed into an outdoor restaurant, MOHI Social. The hotel is owned by Frank Leal, and Kent Construction is the general contractor.

The project proposes the development of a three-story building offering art gallery and retail spaces. The project pays homage to the Edes Brothers Hardware Store that occupied the site more than a century ago. Golden Quail, LLC is the project developer. KTGY Architecture + Planning is responsible for the design concepts and construction.

The City of Morgan Hill Planning Commission has voted to approve the Magnolias Affordable Housing project, bringing new affordable housing to the affluent small city in the southern reaches of Santa Clara County. The five-story project would create 66 new homes at 17965 Monterey Road, within walking distance of the town’s central retail hub and Caltrain station.
